In the framework of the South American AIG Regional Cooperation Mechanism (ARCM), and as part of the 2016 Training Programme, the “ADREP (Accident and Incident Reporting Systems)/ECCAIRS Systems Workshop” is taking place from 19 to 23 September 2016 at the headquarters of the ICAO South American Regional Office in the city of Lima (Peru). It has the participation of more than thirthy representatives of the South American and Caribbean States, including the following:
the Bahamas, Brazil, Costa Rica, Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic and Venezuela.
One of the objectives of the ARCM is to incorporate the AIG Authorities of the SAM Region to the ARCM SDCPS (Safety Data Collection and Processing System). The SDCPS is a regional database of South American aircraft accidents and incidents.
The instructors from the ICAO South American Regional Office and JIAAC Argentina must provide support to the States in the implementation of a database with reactive information (accidents, serious incidents and incidents) facilitating information exchange in the Region.
